Rangareddy: Man Gets 20 Years RI for Raping Girl

Hyderabad: The Fast Track Special Court for expeditious trial and disposal of rape and Pocso Act cases at Rangareddy district on Friday sentenced 23-year-old Bihar native Tajebul Khan to rigorous imprisonment of 20 years and a fine of Rs.25,000.

The court convicted him for raping a six-year-old girl at Meerpet in March 2022.

On the day of the incident, the girl was alone at home. Based on a complaint from her parents, a rape case was registered and the accused was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

The court during the trial heard the statements of the girl, her parents and other witnesses, and examined medical and technical evidence and found Khan guilty.

Balanagar DCP B. Saisree felicitated the prosecution team, investigators and the court officers for securing conviction in the case.
