Chennai: Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel seized bundles of ganja abandoned on a train at Chennai Central on Friday morning. RPF personnel discovered the dry ganja, packed in 10 bundles when they were scanning the compartments of the Howrah Mail, early Friday morning.

The train had arrived around 5 am on platform number 8 and RPF cops were on routine inspection when they found a trolley inside the general compartment of the train. The recovered ganja bundles were handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), officials said.  Meanwhile, railway police are perusing CCTV footages to identify the passengers who had tried to smuggle the ganja into the city.
