Hyderabad police nabs 6 land grabbers

The gang had created 45 fabricated documents and sold them to the innocent victims, the police said.

Hyderabad: Sleuths of L.B.Nagar Zone apprehended six land grabbers who forged land documents. The arrested were identified as Ali Bin Mahmood Jabri, 30, Mir Shaker Ali, 42, Wasi alias Sweety, 35, Amaan alias Sajid, 25, Khaleel alias Abbu, 28, and Omer Khan, 24. 

Two suspects, Shaik Ali Bawazeer and Muzeeb Khan are absconding. The gang targets open plots which is not looked after by the owner. They then prepare fake documents and hand them over to others, who will zero in on the buyers to sell the land with fabricated documents.

The scam came to the light based on a petition by Kausar Begum, a resident of Santosh Nagar. She purchased six plots, costing Rs 1.5. lakh each.
