Vijayawada: A Nuzvid court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Sakshi publication’s managing director, YS Bharathi Reddy, and editorial director, Rama Chandramurthy, for not attending court in a defamation case filed by Telugu Desam leader Chalasani Anjaneyulu.

Mr Anjaneyulu, Krishna district Farmers wing president, filed a defamation case against Sakshi for publishing an article alleging his involvement in a Call money issue in 2016. He claimed the article defamed him.

The court sent a warrant to Sakshi’s management to attend the hearing, but the management did not appear before the court, and hence the court on Wednesday issued a non-bailable warrant against its senior managers.
