Dharani portal operator held in bribery case

WARANGAL: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday trapped Dharani portal operator Kumara Swamy while accepting a bribe of Rs 7,500 from wo farmers at the tahsildar office in Kalwa Srirampur mandal in Peddapalli district.

The ACB said Kumara Swamy demanded the bribes from farmers Yadagiri Srinivas and Rapalli Santosh, residents of Jafferkhanpet, for registering land papers on their names even after they had produced all the required documents.

The farmers complained to the ACB which conducted a raid and caught Kumara Swamy red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 7,500 from the farmers.
