Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police have formed five teams to nab Ahmed, who had duped a city-based forex trader of $30,000 after exchanging it with wads of paper currency at Narsingi on Thursday.

According to the police, they are verifying the footage of Closed Circuit Cameras installed on the Outer Ring Road and are trying to get the call data records of Ahmed, who is suspected to be from Mumbai.

The man had called in Zafar, a forex trader to the Outer Ring Road under the pretext of exchanging the USD.

The latter had gone to the place carrying $30,000.

“Ahmed handed over wads of neatly cut paper packed in a plastic cover to Zafar before fleeing from the place,” the Narsingi police maintained.

Initially, the complainant and the Zafar met at a coffee shop in Gachibowli and after Ahmed told it was not proper to exchange so much money in public, they fixed the rendezvous at Outer Ring Road, near Narsingi.
