Hyderabad: Body of 50-year-old woman found in Janakama Garden

HYDERABAD: A highly decomposed body of a 50-year-old woman was found in an open place in Janakama Garden under the Jubilee Hills police station on Saturday. The body was identified as that of J. Kavita, a construction worker from Begumpet.

Police got a call on Dial 100 from residents of the area at around noon and a police team reached the spot. “We recovered four empty sachets of toddy and three empty sachets of illicit liquor near the body. We did not find any injuries on the body or anything suspicious,” Jubilee Hills detective inspector P. Srinivas aid.

The police identified the victim through her Aadhaar card recovered from her bag and informed her family members. “We can ascertain the cause of the death after getting the post-mortem report,” Srinivas said.

The police registered a case of suspicious death under Section 174 of the CrPC and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
