Over 29 arrested as part of cordon and search operations

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police conducted a cordon and search operation at KPHB and Jagathgiri Gutta police stations on Saturday night and detained as many as 29 suspects. The searches were supervised by DCPs A. Venkateswar Rao, Madhapur and Dr Y. Saishekar, Balanagar.

At KPHB, the searches were conducted at Nizampet village, in which 200 personnel including 25 women cops participated. Around 2,834 houses were searched during the operation and 24 suspects with past history were detained for verification of their antecedents. 27 bikes, 13 autos and and 2 cars without valid documents were also seized. They will be released after document verification.

At Jagathgiri Gutta, searches were conducted at Yellamma Banda and 5 suspects were detained for verification and 27 bikes, 12 autos and two cars were seized.
