Hyderabad: A 28-year-old woman’s death at a private hospital in Medipally sparked tension as her relatives protested alleging that the negligence of doctors was responsible for her sudden death. The relatives filed a complaint at the Medipally police station. Cops said they have launched an inquiry into the incident. Police said they received a complaint against the Spark Hospital management from the relatives of a patient who died during surgery.

The complaint given by the husband of the deceased alleges that she died under suspicious circumstances. “The patient, Saritha, 28, was admitted because of a spinal problem and low blood count. She was given two units of A+ blood and she died on Monday during surgery due to a seizure,” said a police official. The husband, Raju, said in his complaint that the hospital management gave the patient blood belonging to a different group. But during the investigation it was revealed that the blood given to the patient was A+ and not a different one. The hospital said they will look into the matter. The case is being investigated.
