Hyderabad Poker Betting Bust: 4 Arrested in LB Nagar Special Operation Raid

Hyderabad: The LB Nagar special operation team raided a house in Gurram Guda and arrested four persons for betting on poker.
Police seized Rs 54,390, six sets of playing cards and three mobile phones from the accused: Ambati Shekar, Tanniru Hanumantu, Alamani Ramakrishna and Mandi Anil. They were handed over to the Meerpet police. One Shivaji managed to escape.
Fatal Car Accident: Two Killed, One Injured
Hyderabad: Two persons died when their car hit a truck while overtaking it at Gudigandla of Makthal mandal in Narayanpet district on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Bahsa, 50 and Shikur, 50, of Sattenapally of Palnadu district in Andhra Pradesh. An injured person was identified as Venkata Rao.
Police said they were returning to their native place from Goa. "The car hit the truck from the rear and got stuck. The truck driver did not notice the mishap and drove for at least one kilometre before other motorists alerted him. The driver halted the truck and ran away," police said.
Police registered a case of negligent driving causing death and shifted bodies to the government hospital.
Unidentified Body Found in Hyderabad's Mir Alam Tank, Police Investigating Suspicious Death
Hyderabad: An unidentified body was found in Mir Alam tank on Thursday, Bahadurpura police said. The victim was a male aged between 35 and 40 years.
Locals alerted the police to the body. The police got local fishermen to retrieve it. Police has registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for identification and post-mortem.
