Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the MLAs’ poaching case questioned Chaitralekha, the wife of accused Kore Nanda Kumar, and advocate Prathap Goud from 11 am at the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICC) in Banjara Hills.

It is learnt that SIT questioned Chitralekha about a few bank transactions, which were made from her account while Goud was asked to clarify about his photographs, call history and travel history with the accused D.P.S.K.P.N. Simhayaji.

“Goud was evading the questions posed by the officials and was trying to derail the interrogation. Both were questioned for about eight hours and have been asked to appear again on Monday,” sources said.

Meanwhile, advocate I. Rama Rao, counsel for the accused, pointed out that a bail petition was moved in the ACB court on Thursday, which had dismissed the custody petition filed by SIT for the three accused, Ramachandra Bharati alias Satish Sharma, a priest from Faridabad, Simhayaji Swamy, pontiff from Tirupati, and Nanda Kumar, a businessman from Hyderabad.
