Hyderabad: In a well-coordinated operation, GRP and RPF personnel, comprising eight teams, resolved the recent theft incident at Secunderabad railway station from where a backpack containing 60 INSAS rounds, three magazines, and their pouch was stolen. They recovered the stolen property from the arrested culprits after swinging into action following a complaint by Sidharth Singh, a 34-year-old CRPF constable based in Chandrayangutta.

Extensive analysis of CCTV footage led to the arrest of one of the accused, Nakkeni Ananda Murthy, near Gandhinagar metro station. As he was not in possession of the stolen ammunition, a second examination of CCTV footage from Gandhinagar metro station hinted at the involvement of an elderly person, who was walking towards Bholakpur in a suspicious manner. He had unknowingly picked up the pouch containing the stolen ammunition, when he was on his morning walk. The material was recovered from his possession.
