Court extends judicial remand for auditor Buchi Babu

HYDERABAD: A Delhi court extended the judicial custody of Hyderabad-based chartered accountant Gorantla Buchi Babu by 14 days. He was shifted to the Tihar Jail. His judicial remand had ended on Saturday, and the CBI had produced him before the court.

The agency officials explained Buchi Babu’s role in the Delhi liquor case and the status of its investigation.  The CBI has said Buchi Babu was a member of the South Group in which several Telugu politicians and businessmen were involved.
