Hyderabad: Youth sexually assaults minor, held

The accused is arrested and produced before a court for judicial remand.

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old youngster from Warangal district has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl by luring her under the pretext of marriage. The girl’s mother had lodged a complaint with the KPHB police following which the accused was arrested.

On November 29, the girl sent pictures to her cousin on WhatsApp saying she got married, following which a complaint was filed with the KPHB police. The cops then arrested Bukya Venkatesh and rescued the girl. It was found that the man repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl at his room.

KPHB police said “Accused Venkatesh, a native of Athamkur village in Sangareddy district lured the girl with the promise of marriage and had sexually exploited her at his room several times. The accused is arrested and produced before a court for judicial remand.”
