Over Rs 1 Crore worth gold seized from a Dubai returnee at RGIA

Hyderabad: Customs officials seized 1,821 grams of gold worth over Rs one crore after taking into custody a person coming from Dubai at RGIA here on Thursday.

They checked the baggage of Kudu Omar Al Kesar, who had hid gold in a cotton box. On questioning he said that he was planning to convert raw gold into paste. A case has been registered against Omar and investigation is in progress.
