The accused, Prajwal Kishore, who lives in the neighbourhood of the victim’s house, was arrested on Tuesday and produced before a local court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

The incident took place on Monday evening when the victim, who works at a garment factory, had returned from work and was busy in household chores while her children were busy playing outside.
