MALAPPURAM: RSS worker K. Bipin, 25,  was hacked to death by unidentified  assailants at BP Angadi near Tirur on Thursday morning.   He was one of  the prime accused in the Kodinhi Faisal murder case and was out on conditional bail.  Faisal (Anil Kumar) was hacked to death at Kodinhi  by RSS-BJP workers on November 19, 2016, around six months after he converted to Islam.  The body of Bipin  of Poyilisseri in Thripangod panchayat  was found lying in a pool of blood with deep  wounds by the roadside at Pulinchod at  BP Angadi  around 7.30 a.m. His motorbike and other personal belongings were  found a few metres from the body. The police rushed to the spot and took him to the district hospital, Tirur,  where he was declared brought dead by doctors.

The police said that Bipin, a daily wage worker,  was on his way to work  when he was chased and attacked by veiled assailants on bikes. The police have launched an investigation supervised by  district police chief Debesh Kumar Behera,  but  none has been taken into custody. The body was later taken  to Kozhikode Medical College for autopsy and handed over to the relatives. Tension prevailed in the area as hundreds of RSS and BJP workers gathered there. Around 750 policemen from various camps and Malabar Special Police have been deployed in and around Tirur,  besides 20 mobile patrolling units.

Bibin,  second accused in Faisal murder case,   was out on conditional bail along with 16 other accused,  including  prime accused Madathil Narayanan, Tirur taluk sahakaryavah of RSS.   According to the police,  Bibin, who was one of the four- member gang who murdered Faisal, had admitted to the crime.  

Police impose ban orders:
The police have tightened the security steps after the murder of  RSS worker Bipin  near Tirur on Thursday. District police chief Debesh Kumar Behera has also imposed prohibitory orders under the Kerala Police Act in some parts of Tirur municipality and Thalakkad and Tripangod panchayats for 15 days. Storing or possession and transportation of arms and any kind of explosives, circulation of rumours, notices or posters that incite tension have been prohibited. The police said that action will be taken against those found circulating anti-social messages through social media platforms.   The BJP and RSS  jointly observed a hartal in Tirur from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. No untoward incidents were reported.
