Hyderabad: Two arrested for robbing senior citizen

Hyderabad: Begumpet police arrested two individuals on Tuesday who were allegedly involved in robbing a senior citizen. The accused were identified as Chitari Saibaba, 22, and Chitari Dasuu, 23. “The accused had snatched a bag from K. Chiranjeevi Rao, an 80-year-old accountant and administrator at Capco Electronics at Pudur, while he was on his way home on April 17 at Tadbun bus stop. The bag had cash of Rs 1,10,000, a laptop and some important papers,” said Ranga Rao, ACP, Begumpet.

The police recovered an amount of Rs 89,500 from the possession of the accused and sent them to judicial remand for further investigation and action.
