This Republic Day has dawned in the midst of a nationwide agitation against the CAA-NPR-NRC combine.

Hyderabad: About 100 women protested against CAA, NRC and NPR at Dharna Chowk in Indira Park on Monday. The women appealed to the state government to reject all three of them. They want the government to look at all the three as one and not in isolation from each other.

The women wanted the government to completely do away with the National People's Register (NPR) and not implement it at all. They stated that Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is unconstitutional and that NPR and NRC are only backdoor entries for this Act.

They demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao come clear on his stand and not carry out any 'unconstitutional acts' in the state.

The women came from different parts of the city and were allowed to protest only till 5 pm.

They were told that the permission is only from morning to evening and they have to disperse after that.
