Hyderabad: A woman got her lover to kill her husband on Sankranti, the police said on Friday. Police arrested the woman, M. Sowjanya, 26, a resident of Church Gagillapur, and her lover Shaik Asif, 26.

Police said to throw the investigation off track, Sowjanya had alleged that Asif had taken her husband, M. Yada Goud, 35, a private employee, to consume liquor and stabbed him to death.

Police arrested Asif, who confessed that he and Sowjanya had plotted to kill Goud.
