Nayeem killed kin and burnt them, say aides

Hyderabad: Nayeem’s close associates and family members, who are being que-stioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), have revealed shocking details of the gangster’s cruelties, tactics and illegal activities. While two suspects, including Nayeem’s brother, have revealed that Nayeem had killed his own kin — Nasreen and Nadeem — at a house in Narsingi and burned the bodies in Shadnagar, another two suspects have said that Nayeem had female body guards wielding advan-ced firearms.

Korabloina Ramesh and N. Govardhana Chary, two close associates of Nayeem, who were arrested in an extortion case, revealed how the gangster used to extort money from realtors and contractor. In one case, Nayeem had targeted beedi leaf contractor Mr Moham-med Abdul Rawoof from Korutla and extorted huge amounts from him twice.

“Nayeem asked Rawoof to pay Rs 2 crore and threatened to kill his family members if he didn’t pay. Rawoof pleaded with the gangster that he could pay Rs 60 lakh," revealed the remand case diary of Ramesh and Chary. Later, he targeted Rawoof’s business partner Khurram also. In another case, Nayeem's brother Faheem aka Taimur and his wife Sajeeda Shaheen confessed that they had helped Nayeem to kill and dispose the bodies of their kin, who had disputes with Nayeem.

Meanwhile, SIT arrested 10 more associates of the slain gangster on Tuesday. Officials said that till date 39 cases were registered against Nayeem and his gang members. Among the 10, four of them Kathula Jangaiah, Puli Nagaraju, an MBA student from Sanjeevanagar, Bhongir, Gurram Shivaraju, and Bachu Nagaraju, were involved in criminal conspiracy, kidnap, forcible extortions. The other six accused were involved in attempt to murder cases, wrongful confinement and cheating.
