Uttar Pradesh: Self-styled godman arrested for sexually exploiting women

Barabanki: A self-styled godman was on Tuesday arrested from Dewa area in Barabanki on charges of sexually exploiting childless women and filming the act.

Ram Shankar Tiwari alias Parmanand had set up an 'ashram' in Harai village, where he used to lure childless women, exploit them sexually and make videos of the act, Superintendent of Police Abdul Hamid said.

The matter came to light when one such video involving Tiwari was leaked on social media, he said.

Subsequently, an FIR was registered against him at Dewa police station, Hamid said.
