Hyderabad: 4 held with demonetised notes

Commissioner's Task Force apprehended four people who were possessing old currency notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500.

Hyderabad: The Commissioner's Task Force apprehended four people who were possessing old currency notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500. The accused were identified as Bingi Vasu, 40 years of Uppal, Naidu Nagaraju, 36 years of Ramnagar, Secunderabad, Chella Srinivas, 40 years of Chikkkadpally, and Mudigonda Balakrishna, 39 years of Uppal.

"The accused Bingi Vasu runs Real Estate and Travel business in Uppal. A year before demonetization, he in his business got huge payments from his customers and well-wishers, due to demonetization he could not deposit the currency due to fear of IT. Subsequently an amount of Rs 66 ;lakh was left with him. Since then he is trying to exchange the old currency. 

Thus, he got in touch with three persons namely Chella Srinivas, Mudigonda Balakrishna and Naidu Nagaraju clerk in SBI admirative branch at Patny in Secunderabad and sought  their help to exchange the old currency, from then onwards they all are trying to exchange the old currency and looking for agents,” said DCP P. Radha Kishan Rao.
