Woman Found Dead Near Bethamcherla Railway Station, Murder Investigation Underway

A 28-year-old woman died due to alleged medical negligence during a tubectomy at a private hospital in Kalapathar, wherein the surgeon mistakenly cut the small intestine instead of the fallopian tube, leading to her death. (Representational image)

 Kurnool: A woman was killed near the railway station area in Bethamcherla and the incident came to light on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Rudravaram Thirupathamma, a temporary worker at Bethamcherla police station. Her body was found in a bushy area near the railway station.

Thirupathamma, aged 53 and without a family, had been working as a temporary sweeper at the police station.

Local people reported the incident to the police, prompting an investigation by the police. A case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered, but as of now, there are no leads in the murder case, said sub inspector S. Sivasankar Naik.
