Hyderabad: Cash, jewellery seized from HMDA babu's in-law

The legal tussle between the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and some landowners pertaining to the construction of the Outer Ring Road at Kandlakoya Junction is expected to come to an end soon, after ten years.

Hyderabad: The searches at tainted officer K. Purushotham Reddy’s brother-in-law and benamidar Srinivas Reddy’s house resulted in the seizure of money and jewellery. The sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau produced Srinivas Reddy before the ACB special court. He has been remanded to judicial custody.  The ACB has also got custody of Purushotham Reddy for six days, the period that the Bureau will use to grill him further.

Meanwhile, Mr B. Srikanth Chakravarthy, motor vehicle inspector, Shadnagar, Rangareddy district was caught by the ACB accepting a bribe of '5,000, through his driver Mr G. Balaiah. The MVI was caught red handed at the office premises of the additional registration authority, Shadnagar and was arrested on the spot.
