Udupi: The morphed photo of a calendar which went viral on the social media has now reached the cyber crime police! Recently a photo of a calendar, said to be of ‘The Udupi Co-Operative Town Bank Ltd’, went viral on WhatsApp with the calendar showing February with several mistakes, like repetition of a few dates, deletion of some dates and also extra date in the month (February with 30 days).

Some people also mocked the bank. The bank authorities were shocked to see the photo of the calendar, as the original did not have such mistakes. Concluding this to be a handiwork of some miscreants, the authorities have registered a complaint with the police.

“The calendar has been changed in the photo. November has been taken as February as it has Hindu festivals listed from that month. The dates have been changed to show that the calendar has mistakes," Bank general manager B.V. Lakshminarayan told Deccan Chronicle.

"It has been done to either target the bank or the printer. As some messages had lines taunting the bank, we feel the photo was circulated to target us," he said. The bank has registered the case at Udupi Town Police station. “It has been handed over to the cyber crime wing of Bengaluru," he said.
