Hyderabad: Newly-weds attempt suicide, bride dead

Hyderabad: A newly-wed couple attempted suicide immediately after tying the knot at a temple in Siddipet district on Sunday night, which has left the bride dead and the groom in a critical condition. The victims were identified as Butta Lohith and Burra Anjali.

According to the police, the duo who completed their schooling and Intermediate together were in love for many years. But when Anjali’s parents got to know of the affair, they warned them to stay away and forced Anjali to quit studies. After marriage, they consumed pesticide and were hospitalised, where she died.

Under treatment and Lohith is still  in critical stage. Siddipet Police booked a case and started a probe.
