SHE teams nab repeat offender for harassment

Hyderabad: A man was caught red-handed by the SHE Teams officials in Golconda while he was blackmailing a woman and extorting money by threatening to upload her private pictures on social media. The man, identified as Altaf Khan, was previously booked for harassing the same woman, police said.
According to the SHE Teams, Altaf Khan, 25, a resident of Golconda and the woman were acquaintances. “He was forcing the woman to love him even after she rejected him multiple times. Unable to take his harassment, the victim lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police, who arrested him earlier. He was jailed but subsequently got a bail.
“After being released, he continued to harass her and started demanding money. He threatened to post pictures which were taken while they were close friends on social media platforms,” police said.
The victim lodged a complaint with the SHE Teams on Wednesday, following which Altaf Khan was arrested and handed over to the Banjara Hills police for further action.
