Hyderabad: Daily wage labourer impregnates minor daughter

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old daily wage labourer who allegedly raped his 16-year-old daughter and impregnated her was arrested by the police on Thursday.
Police said Niranjan Berah, from Odisha, was staying in Jalpally along with his wife, two daughters and a son. Seven months ago when the girl was sleeping at home Berah raped her. When the victim realised that her father was sexually assaulting her she told her mother and there was a quarrel between the girl’s parents. “He threatened the girl and her mother,” inspector V.V. Chalapathi said quoting the girl’s mother.
“Berah threatened to kill the entire family. But the house owner who found the situation suspicious filed a complaint with the police. Police registered a case and arrested Niranjan and produced him in court.
