Bengaluru: Alert traffic cop nabs phone theif

An alert traffic cop on Monday chased and caught a thief, who was snatching the mobile phone of a techie near water tank junction in Adugodi.

The victim, Chandan Kumar, a software engineer, was walking on the footpath and was on a call when the accused snatched the phone and ran. Chandrashekar, a head constable attached to Adugodi traffic police and was on duty managing the traffic in the same area, saw the accused, chased him and caught him. He alerted the Hoysala team and handed him over to the Koramangala police.

The Koramangala police have registered a case and have arrested the accused.
