Bengaluru: Man held for sexually abusing colleague

Bengaluru: A housekeeping manager with an MNC in Embassy Tech Park in Devarabeesanahalli was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his female colleague during work hours.

The accused identified as Mohan Babu (27), a native of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh and a resident of Marathahalli, allegedly sexually abused his colleague in a bathroom on the company premises. The incident, according to the complainant, took place on October 5 when she was cleaning the toilets in the company.

After ensuring there was no one around Babu allegedly pushed her inside a toilet and locked it. He then gagged and sexually abused her, the complainant stated.

The accused then allegedly frightened her to silence and threatened to sack her if she told anyone. Shaken by the incident, the victim did not go to work for eight days. Her husband inquired the reason and eventually the woman narrated the ordeal.

The couple then approached the police and filed a complaint, based on which Babu was arrested.
