Hyderabad: Man held for online fraud

The arrest was made based on a complaint by K. Narendar, a 32- year-old driver from Adarshnagar.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man, a security guard in connection with the case.

Hyderabad: The Marketing Intelligence Team arrested a 28-year-old private sector employee for allegedly cheating a man by posting an online advertisement offering to sell a phone. The arrested man, S. Satya Kishore, is a resident of Medak. The arrest was made based on a complaint by K. Narendar, a 32- year-old driver from Adarshnagar. He said that while he was searching for a mobile phone on Quikr.com he met a seller who had put up a mobile phone worth Rs 7,500 for sale and exchanged contact details and bank account info with him.

“After Narendar wired him the amount the man switched off his phone and all attempts to reach him went in vain,” said detective department DCP Avinash Mohanty. The CCS arrested Kishore on Saturday and  sent him to judicial custody.
