Disha police rescue woman in trouble

 Vijayawada: A married woman was rescued by the Disha police when a man reportedly misbehaved with her, within eight minutes from the time of receipt of the alert at Pamidimukkala village in Krishna district on Sunday night.

One Sashaka after attending to her regular work at a petrol bunk located at Pamidimukkala village was returning home when a man identified as Pandu who was known to her offered to drop her on his bike at her home.

Trusting him, she took his offer and was travelling pillion on his bike when he started to misbehave with her while crossing a lonely place. To escape from him, she jumped off the running bike and alerted her husband as she was not having a smart mobile phone with a touchscreen. However, her husband alerted the police on the Disha app by pressing SOS.

Accordingly, the police rushed to the place of offense in eight minutes and rescued her and dropped her home safely.

Based on a complaint lodged by her and family members, the police booked the accused under Section 354 (A) of IPC and are on the lookout for him to nab him.
