Kerala: Action against man for kicking, injuring wife

Following the commission order, an investigation will be held and a case will be registered, he said.

Kottayam:  The women's commission has asked the Thrikkodithanam police to take stern action against the husband of a woman who was paralysed after he kicked her and injured her spinal cord.    The  33-year-old woman  came in a vehicle to the commission adalat  held at the collectorate here on Friday and presented her complaint to  commission member Dr J. Prameela Devi who accepted it by going near the vehicle.  

As per the complaint, the accused, K. Sumesh of Thrikkodithanam,  a workshop employee, had kicked her on her back and she was paralysed after  that. Thrikkodithanam sub-inspector S. Pradeep told DC that  she had filed a complaint four months ago, but the police had taken no action.   Following the commission order, an  investigation will be held and a case will be  registered, he said.
