Hyderabad: 4 held for abducting footwear vendor

HYDERABAD: Four history sheeters, who kidnapped a footwear vendor on October 10, were arrested by Golconda police on Friday, while three other kidnappers are still absconding.

The vendor Mohd Kahleelullah was kidnapped in a car after he had entered into a fight with the accused, who took him to Afzal Sagar area in Mallepally, where he was confined to a room and beaten up. The kidnappers later took Rs 8,500 from Kahleelullah before setting him free.

Following this, the victim lodged a complaint with the Golconda police, who took up investigation. Based on clues provided, police arrested Syed Noor, 37, Shaik Yousufuddin, 28, Mohd Rasheed, 30, and Mohd Taher, 28. Three others involved in the offence, Mohd Yousuf, Abbas Mirza Baig and Mujahid are still at large.Police have launched a manhunt.
