Vijayawada: Vijayawada Police Commissioner’s Task force along with Satyanarayanapu-ram police have busted a sex racket at an apartment in Mutyalampadu area on Thursday night and arrested four persons, including a woman, and rescued four girls.

Ravella Annapurna, 47, was identified as the prime accused who is leading the racket. Borra Ramakrishna, 35, a mediator, and two customers — N. Srinivas Sarma, 31, and Yekkala Srinivas Rao, 40 — were apprehended.

According to Satyanara-yanapuram police, Anna-purna leased a flat owned by TD corporator P. Trimurti Raju in the name of real estate office and started operating the sex racket using phone and Internet. They decorated the house as real estate office and filled it with attractive brochures.

Task force officials who kept an eye on Annapurna who was earlier caught in three similar cases had found that she changed her hub to Satyanarayanapuram. Police raided the place on Thursday night.

Police filed a case against all four arrested and sent the rescued girls for counselling.
