Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police has arrested three persons for creating a fake TRS party letterhead and forging the signature of Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

The fraudulent letter was issued on May 13 and addressed to the Ranga Reddy district collector, directing him to mutate the ownership of a patta land in Gachibowli in the favour of one Mohammed Osman Qureshi.

The letter said, “Mohammed Osman Qureshi of Ghousepura, Darussalam Road approached the Chief Minister with a grievance, that is to mutate the ownership of the land in his favour. All required documents have been submitted before the collectorate and the revenue district officer, however, the application is still pending for processing.”

The letter further said, “The Telangana state government has verified all the documents of the applicant and requests the collector to consider the application to mutate the ownership of the 2.2 acres of land in his name in the revenue documents.”

This letter was submitted to the inward section and reached the Revenue Divisional Officer. When suspicious revenue officials cross-checked with the Chief Minister’s Office and TRS party members, they found that the letter was fake.
