Hyderabad: Four arrested for robbery and assault

Hyderabad: Panjagutta police arrested four people, including a juvenile, for robbing an astrologer at his home in Madhuranagar.

The suspects entered Sri Shankar Ji’s house pretending to be customers, stabbed him and fled with valuables worth around Rs 1.5 lakh. The suspects are Boina Samba Raju 19, Balasani Koteswara Rao, 24, Sk. Nasar, 24, and a juvenile.  

On November 12, the suspects went to the house of nadi astrologer Shankar Ji and asked him to give his money and gold. When he refused to give they attacked him with knives and took away gold and mobile phones worth Rs 1.5 lakh,” said a senior police official of Panjagutta.  

“During the investigation, the criminals were identified using footage from the CCTV camera installed by the Madhuranagar Welfare Society,” the officer added.
“The suspects are addicted to bad habits and have engaged in petty crimes in the past also,” said the officer.
