Rowdy attacks cops, shot at and caught

Vasu is said to be involved in around 10 criminal cases including two murders and an attempt to murder case.

Bengaluru: A rowdy was shot at and caught by the CCB police after he allegedly attacked a constable, who tried to arrest him, at Mariyappanapalya in Jnanabharathi police limits on Tuesday evening. 

Vasudev, the rowdy, attacked Umesh, a police constable attached to the CCB, and was shot at. Umesh too sustained injuries and both are being treated at a hospital. 

Vasu was involved in attempt to murder case registered at the Rajarajeshwari Nagar police station a year ago, but was absconding since then. Sleuths of the Organised Crime Wing of the CCB, who are conducting a special operation to trace absconding accused in murder and attempt to murder cases, got credible information that Vasu was at Mariyappanapalya.
