Hyderabad: The eighth additional district judge court on Monday convicted a person of murdering his wife and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

The court held Nilawar Ganapathi, 39, guilty for the murder of his wife N. Deepa, a homemaker from Abdullapurmet, in 2015 over family disputes.

He was arrested by the Abdullapurmet police and produced in court. The then circle inspector P. Venkateshwarlu after investigation filed a chargesheet in the LB Nagar court. 

Rachakonda police commisioner Mahesh Bhagwat appreciated the efforts made by the investigation office, public prosecutor T. Venkateshwara Prasad and court duty officer V. Jangaiah of Abdullapurmet police station for the investigation.
