NCB arrests 2 drug peddlers in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) Bengaluru Zonal Unit have arrested two main ganja traffickers and seized 14 kg of marijuana from them.

The accused have been identified as Syed Ahmed and K. Manjunatha. NCB officials said that they intercepted a car near Devanahalli-Doddaballapur crossing on NH7 on Friday based on a tipoff and the two were arrested.

“Their questioning revealed that ganja was sourced from Visakhapatnam and was to be sold to customers in Bengaluru. Earlier also, they had brought the narcotic substance to Bengaluru several times. Fourteen kg of ganja worth Rs 4 lakh found in their possession has been seized. The accused were produced before the NDPS Court and were remanded to judicial custody,” an official said.
