PD Act invoked against four rowdies

RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: The East Godavari District Police has booked cases against four persons under the Preventive Detention (PD) Act on a charge of disturbing public peace.

Collector Madhavi Latha issued the order to book cases against the accused under PD Act, following which the district police arrested them and sent them to the Central Jail at Rajamahendravaram.

They were Dasari Santhosh Kumar alias Santhosh, Anaboyina Manikanta alias Koti Mani, Gara Ravi Teja alias Teja  under Dowleswaram police station limits, and Gotteti Govinda Raju alias Govind. They were allegedly behind a series of crimes in the region in recent times.

Rastogi said though these accused had been given counseling repeatedly to change their bad behaviour, they did not heed the advice and continued with their anti-social activities.
