Hyderabad: A 25-year-old woman and her three children have gone missing after leaving home on Sunday. “The woman had told her neighbour that she was going to the hospital for a check-up but never returned,” said the police.

Based on her husband’s complaint, the Jawaharnagar police have registered a case and formed a team to identify and rescue the woman and children.

The police said that the complaint was lodged by Mr Mohammed Ashraf, an autorickshaw driver regarding his wife Ms Ayesha Begum (25) and their three children, aged seven, five and three, going missing from their home at CPI Colony. He and Ms Ayesha Begum had married about eight years ago.

“On Saturday, when Mr Ashraf returned home from work at 4 pm, he did not find his wife and children at home. Upon inquiring into the situation, he found out from their neighbours that she had informed them that she was going to the hospital for a check-up. He waited until late that night for them to return, but they never returned, so he attempted to search for them and lodged a complaint,” said the police, who have formed a team to trace the missing woman and the children.
