Hyderabad: Labourer held for theft

The accused was identified as Islavath Dasharath, 45, a labourer.

Hyderabad: The Shahinayathgunj police arrested a man who took a woman to a lonely place, bludgeoned her and stole her gold ornaments worth Rs 30,000. The
accused was identified as  Islavath Dasharath, 45, a labourer.

Dasharath took the victim N. Indiramma, to an isolated spot in the jurisdiction of the Pahadi Shareef police and attempted to snatch the ornaments she was
wearing. When she resisted, Dasharath beat her on the head and the face with a stone.

Leaving her bleeding there, Dasharath reportedly made away with her ornaments.

Meanwhile, when Ms Indiramma did not return home, her family members lodged a missing complaint with the Shahinayat-hgunj police. Additio-nal inspector K.
Maruthi  who took up the investigation and searched the footage of 88 CCTV cameras to find the suspect. The police later zeroed in on Dasharath.

On Sunday, they received information that Dasharath was at the Begum Bazaar labour adda. Police rushed there and nabbed him.
