Teen arrested for molesting minor in Jagtial district

Jagtial: A five-year-old girl was molested by an 18-year-old in Tummenala village of Dharmapuri mandal in Jagtial district, police said. The youth was later arrested.

District superintendent of police Sindhu Sharma told the media that the accused was an Intermediate first year student at Karimnagar.
With the complaint lodged by the girl's mother in the police station, sub-inspector Navatha registered a case under the IPC and the 6 of POCSO Act.
Later, a team led by Dharmapuri circle inspector Koteshwar Rao started a manhunt for the accused and nabbed him at about 5.30 pm on Thursday near Nerella of Sambashivuni Gutta.
The team also comprised assitant sub inpector Raju, constables Narsinga Rao and Satish
The statement of the girl was videographed in the presence of Navatha and sent the victim was set to a hospital for medical tests, she added.
