Two die in road accident at Amrabad in Mahabubnagar

They were returning to Hyderabad after attending Pushkaralu.

Hyderabad: Two people were killed and three others were injured in a road mishap at Amrabad in Mahabubnagar on Tuesday morning, while they were returning to Hyderabad after attending Pushkaralu. The Tata Indica car in which the  victims were traveling crashed into a private  bus coming from opposite side. Police suspect that the car driver fell asleep while driving. Two people, including the driver died of the spot, while three others were rushed to the nearest hospital with serious injuries.    

The victims were identified as Kasi Reddy Shivaram Reddy, 24, the car driver from Nacharam, and his acquaintance K. Keshav, from Chilkanagar of Neredmet. Mahabubnagar police officials said the accident occurred between Domalapenta and Vattinagulapally around 9 am. “It looks like the car driver was driving too fast and he dozed off  while driving. The bus driver was unable to steer his vehicle away as the car came towards him from the other side of the road,” said a police officials.

The victims, who are friends, had gone to attend pushkaralu in a hired car on Monday. They were returning to Hyderabad on Tuesday when the mishap occurred.
