Mystery shrouds death of woman missing since Jan. 5

HYDERABAD: A 38-year-old house wife from Anand Bagh, who went missing from a toddy shop in Osmania University police station limits on January 5, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the bushes near Malkajgiri railway station on Monday.

The victim K. Chandrakala was consuming toddy along with her husband K. Raju
at a toddy shop in Tarnaka. After a tiff over a petty issue with her, Raju left the place in a huff, Malkajiri police said.

The victim's body was fully decomposed, police said.

Her son Naresh was trying to reach her on her mobile but it was switched off. He lodged a missing complaint with OU police on January 7.

Raju and Naresh identified the body, which did not have injury marks, police said. Naresh, alias Nancy, is a transgender, police said.

Malkajgiri police registered a case of suspicious death and shifted the victim's body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
