Alappuzha: 5 held for ganja sale to students

Alappuzha: Five youths who sold ganja to school students were arrested by Vallikunnam police here. Four of them were identified as Sanju, 28, Malavila, Kaduvinal; Nazeer alias Muneer, 21, Kochuvila, Kaduvinal;  Arjun, 21, Naduvile Padeettathil, Kaduvinal; and Sunu, 22, Puthanveettil, Vedaraplavu. They were held from near the Government HSS, Elipaakkulam, on Thursday. 

The fifth youth, Bunash Khan, 28, Bismina Manzil, Bharanikkavu, who supplied the stuff to the youths, was arrested on Friday. Ganja weighing two kg was seized from his possession.

Police said that Bunash Khan was accused in a case of impersonation registered at Kottarakkara police station.  All accused were produced in the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Kayamkulam and remanded in judicial custody.
