Hyderabad: Shortly a week after a movie-like theft was pulled off by two women in burkha, a couple walked away with 66 gram gold ornaments from Lalitha Jewellery in Punjagutta on Wednesday. A complaint was received from G. Madhusudan, store manager of Lalitha Jewelry, stating that on Monday afternoon, a couple entered the place posing as customers and fled away with 66 grams of gold, including two pairs of bangles and a bracelet.

“After roaming around, the couple confused the salesperson of the store, which was already crowded with customers, and fled away with the ornaments,” said B. Lakshminarayana Reddy, inspector of Punjagutta. However, during the shop’s closing time, the stocks did not tally. The staff did audit and scanning on Tuesday and it was revealed that some ornaments were missing. A week ago, the same store was targeted by two women, who fled away with Rs 6 lakh worth gold.
