Andhra Pradesh: 3 persons killed, 4 others injured in a road accident at Y Palem

NELLORE: Three persons have died on the spot while four others suffered grievous injuries when a motorcycle and a luggage carrier collided head-on near the government degree college at Yarragondapalem town in Prakasam district on Tuesday.

According to the Yarragondapalem sub-inspector G. Kotaiah, motorcycle rider Doredla Rangaiah, 40, and his wife Mariamma, 35, of Kankanalapalle village in Tripurantakam mandal and luggage carrier driver P. Bhagyaraj of Yarragondapalem have died on the spot. The injured have been admitted to the government hospital and they are out of danger, the sub-inspector said.

While deceased Rangaiah is a daily wage labourer, Bhagyaraj is a driver and also a farmhand.
